Electric arc welding is an industrial process which enables users to fuse two separate pieces of metal into a solid mass. This program shows correct and safe techniques as well as equipment knowledge including: an explanation of the arc welding process and how it works; workshop, personal, and equipment safety; how to strike an arc, make a weld run; how welding faults occur and how to prevent them; explanations of tack welding and the weaving technique; and the correct procedures for variety of welds including square edge butt joint, fillet weld, outside corner joint, lap joint weld and single v-butt.
